A Narrow Public Image of Equestrianism

Within Western / Eurocentric public image, equestrian culture today is visually framed through a narrow and dominant aesthetic.




Mainstream representations - particularly within contemporary European media, our current surroundings that seep through pop culture  and sporting culture portray the rider as: upper-class , rural , White, privately educated, and/or financially privileged.
